Romanian Through Stories & Games

Age: 5-7

How does a 5–7-year-old learn Romanian? Through play, stories, and lots of interaction.

At this level, children discover Romanian in a natural and enjoyable way. We play games, listen to stories, sing songs, talk, and use simple words and expressions in familiar situations. There are no grammar lessons and no pressure to get everything right.

We use the direct method: Romanian is spoken throughout the course, right from the very first sessions. Children listen, observe, imitate, and gradually start using the language, supported by pictures, gestures, games, and context. This gives them plenty of exposure to Romanian and helps them begin to understand and use the language naturally.

Everything happens in a warm and supportive environment, with patient teachers who pay attention to each child's individual pace. We encourage children to give things a try, ask questions, and speak without being afraid of making mistakes.

By the end of this level, your child will be able to:
  • understand and use simple words and expressions;
  • answer short, familiar questions;
  • use basic phrases such as "Please!", "Thank you!", "One more time!", etc.;
  • recognize and name things from their everyday world;
  • begin communicating in Romanian through play and interaction.

From their first words to their first little conversations, every step helps children build confidence and enjoy using Romanian. Classes take place in small groups, so every child receives the attention and encouragement they need.
