At RoLS, we speak Romanian from start to finish, using language adapted to each learner's level. We focus on building confidence, not on the fear of making mistakes. Our small groups, personalised attention, and encouraging feedback help learners feel safe and gain the confidence to speak. We use our own teaching materials and work with highly qualified, carefully selected teachers who are genuinely invested in each learner's progress.

No. At RoLS, we use the direct method and speak exclusively Romanian during the lessons. Explanations are clear and adapted to each child's level, supported by intonation, rhythm, gestures, facial expressions, pictures, objects, and repetition. This constant exposure to simple, easy-to-understand language helps children learn Romanian naturally and confidently, without relying on translation. And don't worry, we know how to make ourselves understood! Come along with your child for a trial session and see for yourself.
There is no fixed timeline. Every child goes through several stages, at their own pace. First, children need time and plenty of exposure to Romanian in a form that is accessible and easy to understand. This is why, at RoLS, we use the direct method and consistently provide clear language adapted to their level. As they begin to understand more, we encourage them to speak without being afraid of making mistakes. Gradually, they receive more practice and guidance, helping them use what they have learned more and more easily. What matters is that every child has their own pace. We support them at every stage, with patience, encouragement, and plenty of opportunities to listen to and speak Romanian.
Yes. Your child can join an existing group, or we can form a new group when we receive at least two enrolment requests.
Our courses provide a solid foundation, but we also recommend reading and doing additional activities at home. Our teachers provide personalised suggestions based on each child's needs.
Our courses can significantly improve Romanian language skills, which can have a positive impact at school. However, our lessons are not focused on test or exam preparation, except for Level 5.
We organise make-up lessons periodically.
In a safe environment, with constant encouragement and gentle correction, each child can gradually overcome their hesitation and gain confidence at their own pace.
It is completely normal for children to feel hesitant at first. You can enrol your child together with a friend or book a free trial lesson, so they can meet the teacher before joining the course. The language we use is simple, adapted to their level, and supported visually, making it easy to follow from the very beginning. And, in our experience, after their first session, most children can't wait to come back!
